Partnership Board
Welcome to the Leeds Learning Disability Partnership Board!
We are here to improve things for people with a learning disability. ‘Valuing People’ said that Partnership Boards should be set up in every area to do this.
Board members include 2 independent co-chairs, service users, carers, staff from the NHS, Council and Voluntary Sector.
We meet 6 times a year to talk about what’s happening in Leeds and to discuss any changes to be made.
Dates of Next Meetings:
Thursday 20th June 2013
- AGM
Tuesday 24th September 2013
- Transitions
There are also task and reference groups that help with the work:
Task groups work at improving things for people in one particular area.
Reference groups work to involve more people in the Board and help members speak up for the people they represent.
Subgroups:
• Learning Disability and Carers Reference Group
• Person Centred Planning and Personalisation, Carers, Health, Housing, Employment, and Advocacy Task Groups
