LBGT+ Learning Disability Focus Group

Would you be interested in taking part in, or supporting a LGBT+ person with a learning disability to take part in a focus group?

As part of the Leeds LGBT+ Mapping Project (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender or Questioning), based at Forum Central, we want to know what is needed to support people with Learning Disabilities to explore their sexuality and gender identity and what people with LGBT+ people with learning disabilities want.

Forum Central would really like to hear from you if you can help.

The meeting will look at:

  • Creating a social group for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender or questioning people with learning disabilities in Leeds.
  • Sexuality and gender identity - something that is often overlooked when supporting people with learning disabilities.
  • Checking if anyone is aware of any specific provision for people with learning disabilities to explore their sexuality and gender identity or to meet people with similar experiences.

The focus group will take place on Wednesday 29 November, from 10:00AM ➡ 12:00PM

Location to be confirmed.
