Ventures – Leeds and York Partnership NHS Foundation Trust

Ventures are part of the Learning Disability Services Directorate and offer a range of health related activities to adults with learning disabilities across the city.

Access to the service requires a referral form which can be found on the Trust internet site as below.

Ventures operate an open referral system for health activities for example hydrotherapy, rebound therapy, fitness sessions and intensive interaction. These are available for anyone living in Leeds who meets the eligibility criteria.

Ventures works in partnership with the Multi-Disciplinary Team and key professionals to develop an appropriate activity for each individual. All activities have clear outcomes over a set period of time to support service users from Leeds who have a learning disability and complex health needs.

The service is based at 4 Woodland square, next to St Mary's Hospital.

Ventures have a Hydrotherapy Suite with a tracking hoist in the change area. The Rebound Therapy room has a sunken trampoline with tracking hoist.  There are 3 additional multi purpose rooms which are used for different activities. The department is on one level and is accessible to all service users.

All activities are offered as sessions or appointments. The department is open from 8.30 AM ➡ 5.00 PM Monday to Friday.
