Adult Protection involves the protection of vulnerable people from abuse. The Adult Protection Co-ordinator can give advice to workers, service users and carers about the Leeds Adult Protection Procedures and other services that are available to disabled people including those with physical and sensory impairment, learning disabilities and mental health issues who are experiencing any kind of violence or abuse. .
The Adult Protection Committee is a multi-agency committee. It provides a forum in which organisations, with input from service users and carers, can make decisions about how best to improve adult protection in Leeds.
