Citizens Advice Bureaux (CABs)

CABs provide free and confidential information, advice, advocacy and representation. Their services are available to everyone. Telephone advice is available from some offices, but this is popular so the lines are usually busy.

Citizens Advice Bureaux in GP Practices
General practitioners believe that a significant amount of their time was being taken up addressing social problems rather than health problems. As a result Leeds CAB have recruited a project worker who will advise patients in the surgeries and clinics.
CAB advice workers go into the GP surgeries for weekly sessions to deal with non-medical issues, which cause ill health such as benefit issues, debt and employment matters, housing conditions, etc.

Free Interviews with Accountants
We offer a free half-hour appointment with a qualified accountant at our city centre premises. This is particularly for clients with tax problems, or problems arising from running a small business.
