The Chaplain encourages and enables churches of all denominations to welcome and include people with learning disabilities and their carers in the life of the church and provides people with appropriate pastoral and spiritual support. He can provide support and counselling, (especially at times of bereavement or stress) to people with learning disabilities, their families and staff working with them.
