Connect in the North is a not-for-profit membership organisation that aims to improve services for people with learning disabilities. People with learning disabilities are encouraged to join and help decide what work the organisation does. Its staff includes people with learning disabilities working as trainers and consultants.

Connect in the North offers

• consultancy

for organisations in the North of England.

Current areas of work include training in 'Active Support' and Person-Centred Planning.

They offer consultancy in service user involvement, in policy and service development and can sometimes help people who want independent support to plan and change their lives.
