Leeds Pathway is part of Mencap's Education and Employment Business Unit and aims to support people with learning difficulties into meaningful work opportunities. These range from permitted work activities to part- time or full-time work, with the opportunity of earning the going rate for the work.

People are assessed, given in-depth individual training and prepared for work as well as offered support with confidence building, benefits advice, filling in application forms and attending interviews. The scheme offers support when people start work and this continues for as long as they are in employment.
