Making Information Easy

Through The Maze runs a project called "Making Information Easy". The reasons why we have set up this project are:

• We think that having clear and simple information is a basic human right
• We think that it is very important that people with a learning disability have the same opportunities and choices as everyone else
• We want to make sure that people with a learning disability can make their own decisions about services they can get in Leeds
• We want to help service providers in Leeds need to make changes to the way they present their information
  

Through The Maze Information Service runs regular training courses on how you can make your information easy to understand. We have also produced a training book. This was written by Mark Wallis, who is one of our staff members. He wrote the book after talking to lots of people with a learning disability and organisations who provide services. The training book costs £5. If you would like a copy or would like to know more about what is in the book please contact us.
