How Many Hours?

money Symbol One of the important decisions when you are thinking about getting a job is how many hours you would like to work. Some jobs are for only a few hours a week, some are for a few days a week and others are for longer.

Working And Benefits
There are lots of different types of benefits. The amount of benefit you or your family gets may be affected if you want to work more than a few hours a week. If you are thinking about getting a job, then it is important to speak to a benefits advisor they can explain what will happen to your benefits when you start work.

Incapacity benefit and working
If you get Incapacity Benefit, then you can earn up to £20 a week, without it affecting your benefits. This is called permitted work.
