NHS Expert Patients Programme Courses

The NHS now runs a number of courses as part of its 'Expert Patients' programme. These courses include courses designed to help carers of people with long term health conditions. They are aimed at helping carers to cope with their situation and to look after their own health. The courses are free and are made up of six sessions.

The following courses are currently being run in Leeds. Courses will start on the following dates at the following venues:

Caring for Children - Supporting Parent Carers

• Wednesday 21st February at 10.30am in Otley
• Tuesday 17th April at 10.30am in Beeston/Hunslet
• Wednesday 18th April at 10.30am in Seacroft/Gipton
• Wednesday 6th June at 10.30am in Crossgates/Halton
• Thursday 13th September at 10.30am in Harehills/Chapeltown

Caring for Adults - Looking After Me

• Monday 26th February at 10.00am at Meanwood Urban Valley Farm
• Thursday 3rd May at 11.30am in East Leeds
