People Matters Volunteers

People Matters Volunteers

Volunteers are highly valued at People Matters as they rely on their support in all of their projects. The wide range of activities offers plenty of choice for volunteering. Whether your interests are walking, photography, music, cooking, helping out on a market stall, doing deliveries, or going out socially with a bunch of fun people, perhaps to the theatre, having meals out, karaoke, pool … there is bound to be something for you to enjoy being involved in.

Young people (14 -18) are welcomed as volunteers/peer mentors with young people in the Teens 'n' Twenties project. They do not have the same responsibilities as adult volunteers because of their youth, but are very important because they are in touch with the current fashions and trends and identify with the issues faced by group members.

Many of the volunteers move on to paid work having gained experience through volunteering.
