Physiotherapy Services offer advice, assessment and treatment for the specific physical needs of people with learning disabilities. It may be an acute or short-term need that can not be met by other physiotherapy services or a more complex need requiring long-term management.

They work with clients and carers at home and at day centres, offering advice and education on how to cope with physical problems and ways of improving health through movement function and activity (see also the Children chapter and the Childrens Health section.)
