Good Health

There are high incidents of ill health among African, African-Caribbean and South Asian men, especially suffering with diabetes, high blood pressure, obesity, arthritis, prostate and other cancers.

The Leeds Boyz2Men Health and Wellbeing project aims to encourage Black and South Asian men to take control of their own health and wellbeing.

This event provides an opportunity for local men to take a basic health MOT, including checks for diabetes, blood pressure and weight, and discuss health & wellbeing issues with a range of professional health services representatives and G.P.

There will also be a Men’s Cook & Eat session, with bespoke dietary plans and advice, and a cooking session preparing lunch using the Eatwell Plate.
