Bradford Talking Media are looking for people with Learning Disabilities to join their Health and Care Champions project.
Bradford Talking Media are looking for people to be on the shadow board, they are currently discussing and working on 5 key themes.
The 5 themes are,
- Diabetes
- Social Prescribing
- Healthier Lives
- Cancer
- How we think you should work with us
Then 2 further themes were requested through programme leads which were,
- The Advanced Care Planning and Bereavement Toolkit
- Social Prescribing Pilot being run by the Learning Disability Task and Finish Group
Bradford Talking Media are looking for new members from the Wakefield, Leeds, Harrogate, Calderdale, Kirklees or Craven areas.
They are going to run face-to-face sessions across the district and hope that you’ll want to meet with them to ensure groups from your region are included and heard.
Meetings will be held every Wednesday at 10.30AM – 2:00PM with a break for lunch
All participants are asked to bring a packed lunch.
Members will be paid £10 for each session they attend and their travel costs will also be reimbursed.
Importantly The Health and Care Champions Project is giving adults a chance to advocate, be heard and be seen by organisations that are not always inclusive.
