Moving your benefits to Universal Credit – easy read guide from Mencap

Some old benefits are ending. They will be replaced by Universal Credit.

If your benefits are going to be moved to Universal Credit, the DWP (Department of Work and Pensions) will send you a letter.

The benefits that are ending are:

• Income-related Employment and Support Allowance
• Working Tax Credit
• Child Tax Credit
• Housing Benefit
• Income Support
• Income-based Jobseeker’s Allowance
