ROOOTs are a team of African Caribbean people with learning disabilities. They all have first hand experience of the challenges faced by people with learning disabilities from minority communities.

Since September 2016 the ROOOTs team have been working as trainers at Connect in the North.

ROOOTs offer a wide variety of training including on African Caribbean history, bereavement and loss, health and wellbeing, diversity and the challenge of racism, advocacy, and setting up a business.

ROOOTs also offer consultancy tailor-made to meet the needs of your organisation.
